New Film Theatre for Ipswich

Does mainstream cinema leave you cold? Would you like to choose independent films that would entertain you? Or perhaps provide help in this new community cinema? The Ipswich Film Theatre is returning to the Corn Exchange, launched by a group of excited film fans wanting to offer a different choice in the town.
The IFT Trust is a not-for-profit organisation providing world cinema on two screens, organised and run by volunteers – log on to www.iftt.co.uk and suggest your favourite films.
Colourplan Print has sponsored and printed the first programme, supporting this new cinema venue for community entertainment in Ipswich.

Significant Price Increases for Paper

The cost of paper has risen over 40% in the last 8 months, and reduced availability will continue to increase these prices. There are a number of reasons for this:
Production costs - oil for transport of pulp and paper.
Global recession - pulp suppliers, such as China, can make higher revenue selling for USD, rather than GBP.
Environmental pressures - Direct Mail advertising is no longer seen as an acceptable use of natural resources.
Online information - Invoices, Statements, Report and Accounts etc are now recommended for Internet access, rather than printed matter.
To compound this printers problem in May, the effects of the Chilean earthquake reducing export and the Norwegian dock-strike left a shortage on the paper-merchants floor, leaving them unable to meet their orders.
To our knowledge, printers are always unable to increase their own prices due to over-capacity, but our customers have to pay more. This will be an ongoing story in the Printing Industry.

More Venues at PULSE10

It started with The Caravan in PULSE09..... and there were even more venues for the NWT Ipswich Fringe Festival 2010.
This is Colourplan's second full year of producing The Wolseys promotional print, and sometimes we have to jump through spaghetti hoops to meet their demands! Everything from printing and distributing the seasons brochures to mounting posters to street boards - maybe you saw the spaghetti banners at the PULSE venues around Ipswich.

heaven42 - BRILLIANT paper

Ordinary white paper can be very bright, but when it is coated, as used generally in brochures and magazines, the colour becomes cream, which makes graphics and pictures look aged.

Have a look on our website to see the Colourplan Desktop Calendar which was printed on a new paper from Robert Horne called heaven42.
